BMW Art Car

In 1975 Hervé Poulin, a french race car driver and auctioneer, commissioned his friend Alexander Calder to create a canvas on a car, later that year Poulin raced himself that painted BMW 3.0 CSL at Le Main. Since then there have been 18 BMW Art Cars, from artists such as David Hockney, Jenny Holzer, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, Frank Stella, and Andy Warhol.
This year’s model is by none other than Jeff Koons.
Better known for his giant ballon dogs made of stainless steel, and the 12 meter high puppy that sits in front of the Bilbao Guggenheim.
The car is a BMW 3′ series and this year it will be raced again, unlike in the last few years that the cars were only for shows and publicity.
So, enjoy the pics, I hope you like it
