This brand recently came to my attention by the way of Monocle magazine. What interested me the most was the handmade ties made in Brooklyn, but once I digged a little bit deeper I found out beautiful shirts, cashmere sweaters made in Scotland, and bags made in Idaho by the same guys that equip the United States Geological Survey (these guys may have a little bit of work today, with the earthquake in the east coast yesterday and all!).
There’s still not an online store available, but if you’re in NY, you can go to the Soho, 88 Grand St, and discover the Jon Ashe Store. I kinda like not having an online retail notion, the going to the store, seeing and touching the pieces, talking to the store manager gives us a much more complete notion of what the brand is about. Next time I go to NY, I’m there!…
