Nutters Savile Row is a sartorial institution, it was started in 1969 by Tommy Nutter, and it brought, as many people say, fashion into the Row. He dressed everyone from Mick Jagger to Elton John, to Twiggy (yes, girls too), to Sir Hardy Amies. The brand was dormant for some time and is being revitalized by David Mason, who was excepted to follow a career in Nuclear Chemistry. More and more people, like myself, from different backgrounds are stepping into the fashion world. For those of you who don’t know I’m a Microbiology major that owns a Shoe Brand – Ramalhoni Shoes.
This science training was probably influential in Mr. Mason’s decision to start using CAD and 3D body scans for Nutters made to measure pieces. I love this combination of high-tech and old school tailoring, technology is invented to make our lives easier and should be used in well thought and effective manners, exactly like this.
… and this is what they’re doing right now!
