Last week I did my first Factory visit for It couldn’t have been a better start. I visited TEVIZ a fabric maker, based right here in the North of Portugal, known worldwide for there exquisite fabrics among witch there superstar  Portuguese Flannel.
When Max Wastler from the Blog All Plaid Out tweeted a pics of an amazing flannel shirt made with fabric from Teviz, I didn’t even know of the existence of this factory.
Well I do now ! And after being there, getting to know the factory and some of the people that work there, I can tell you Guys one thing. Kudos to those Men and Women that work there and do an amazing job, these are the kind of people and organizations that we need here in Portugal, specially in these difficult economic times we are living in.
Having said this, I can tell you that I was baffled by the F/W ’12 collection preview that they gave me (pics below). Enormous variety and perfect quality.
Teviz is open since 1935 and is undergoing a process os improvement of there process and modernization of the equipment. They are cloth makers and they also do the dyeing of the yarns in house. A perfect way to ensure that all of the materials they use are up to there very high standards of quality. After the cloths are done they are checked and then re-checked to be sure that the weave is absolutely perfect. You got to admire and love the dedications these people put into there product.
All the cloths are cotton, and they even have an organic cotton line for those eco enthusiast that have to have them (a real smart choice in my opinion).
So… Thank you very much to Teviz and specially to Mr. Bernardino Ferreira than was kind enough to show me around the plant and tell me all about it.
You will also see lots of fabric samples below, I just had to post them, I loved them so much. I did a little selection of my own and already got the samples in the mail! Is there a little ramalhoni | SHIRTS collection on the way??? Maybe yes, maybe no … Let’s see how it turns out… lololol..
Don’t forget to follow Ramalhoni on Facebook, Twitter, Bloglovin and Tumblr.

ps: tomorrow I’ll post my selection from the samples I got!…
